Files supplied to TradeColour.com must be supplied in one of the following formats and must be print ready. Although files are flight checked using automated software for 'critical' errors, we assume that you have carefully checked your artwork before uploading and will accept the printed job regardless of any errors made at the artwork stage.
Files should be saved preferably as PDFs although EPS and TIFF files are also acceptable. PDF files should be saved at 300dpi or more and must have all fonts embedded. Please note that print produced from TIFF files can look ‘furry’ and will not be of the higher quality produced from PDF or EPS files.
If you wish your imagery to bleed off the edge of the job your files must be set up with 3mm bleed on all edges. Failure to allow bleed means you will end up with a small white border on some edges.
Files should be supplied saved in CMYK format. Although our CTP system will interpret RGB files and convert to CMYK the printed results will look flatter and washed out compared to those from files supplied correctly in the first instance.
Our CTP plates are run at 200lpi so for optimal results imagery should be scanned at an effective resolution of 300dpi. Imagery scanned at a lower resolution will print pixelated and look washed out and blurry. Imagery supplied at a higher resolution will not make any difference to your print quality but will take you longer to upload your files.

If supplying separate files for 4pp, 6pp or 8pp products you must ensure that it is clear which order the pages go in. If there can be any doubt please supply a low-resolution imposition with your files.
When uploading files it is essential that you quote your order acknowledgement number in the reference box. Files supplied without this reference may not be allocated to your order causing delays.
